Well, all Of more and these things are occupations which Design Pickle has done over the past couple of months for me. Therefore, you could out and post a project for a graphic designer every time you’ve got a graphic design job to perform.
Or you could get it all done in One place. Oh, and it is”infinite” (more on this later) designs for one flat monthly fee.
Inside This Design Pickle Review Strategy to discuss what I enjoy, what I do not enjoy, and what I have learned over the past year as I’ve used Design Pickle for my own graphic design requirements.
WHAT IS DESIGN PICKLE?
In Case You Haven’t heard, Design Pickle is an all round graphic design service for one flat monthly fee. It is possible to get unlimited graphic designs with unlimited revisions for $370/month.
Alright, However, what does”unlimited” really mean? On the design pickle site it states,”unlimited requests”,”unlimited revisions”,”infinite brands”. All those things are true. But, I want you to go in with a clear comprehension of what that actually means.
Sure, you may submit unlimited Requests and have brands that are boundless, but it does not mean that you will GET real designs done. I shouldn’t expect to receive 1 million special graphic design jobs accomplished in a month for just $370 When I submit 1 million job requests in a month. That is crazy talk.
The way it works is that you have Essentially one designer assigned to your accounts. The exact same picture designer also functions on a couple of other accounts (you are not the only customer they work with).
Basically, some of your tasks will Get finished faster or slower depending on how active they are. However, what I have discovered is that I can usually expect 2 or 3 graphic design tasks to be finished a day.
This Depends upon the complexity. Simple jobs will get more done jobs will take longer. Ninja Pickle
My experience with Design Pickle
I have been a customer for over 3 decades and submitted 1800+ design requests.
When I subscribed, we Had a start but that was my fault.
I soon learned the Designs I have back were just as good as the design short they needed to work with.
So, I composed and knuckled down Out a template short that contained as much information as possible.
This made it crazy for Me to fill but still gave my designer sufficient information to work with.
And I’ve had The same committed designer, John (he’s amazing ). We have worked together for so long he knows precisely what type of images I’m looking for.
You only have to scroll Through our website archives to see plenty of illustrations.
And based on examples I’ve Seen for other clients, Design Pickle is capable of a lot more!
7 things I seriously love about Design Pickle
Committed designer — Working with one designer (unless they are on holiday) means they learn which type of images I like. Perfect for consistency. My dedicated designer, John, is incredible.
No contracts — I can cancel my plan anyhow. However, I get as much value from the service that I do not think I will actually offset.
The service is rock solid — Design Pickle happen to be going for a little while now. I have been a customer for over 3 years. The procedures and support team they have set up is outstanding. I’ve signed up for services from other providers that offer comparable”unlimited” style offerings and one specifically just wasted my cash because they did not have the kinks worked out in their own service. This is not the case with Design Pickle — they know what they’re doing and they deliver.
Huge number of design assets — Working for so many clients means access to design assets. This saves time for everyone and the upside to your customer is more high-tech vision.
Choice of that document types you receive delivered — You have to pick which file types have been delivered. If you’d like editable files like PSD’s, AI documents, etc — you can select which you desire. You’ll also receive the”ready to use” type files like PNG, JPG etc.. And you can define which file types after submitting your request.
Infinite projects — I run a lot of different websites, which list is only going to increase. But that’s not likely to be an issue
My branding resources are kept on file to save everybody time Whenever I launch a new site, I send the branding assets (logo files, etc) to support and they receive them stored. So I simply have to specify the project in the topic line of my email and they do the rest. How I utilize Design Pickle right now
Since I am asked about my Images so much, I wanted to share a little more on how I utilize Design Pickle right now.
When a brand new blog post is Completed I’ll decide whether we need an picture that was in-content to backup any of the articles. If it does, I will write up a brief and submit an application to Design Pickle via email.
I’ll talk about this Briefs in a moment, but it will include a description of everything I need, required hyperlinks and picture dimensions for inspiration to image illustrations. Ninja Pickle
I then have three templates For three different layout briefs:
Each set of images that were featured Are focused around a single design concept, using”flat” styled images. They’re cartoony, but not 3D.
I ask for the picture to be Delivered in several different sizes:
700 x 300 pixels — This comes with a flat/cartoon-like picture overlayed onto a background. The image measurements are exactly what I use for the featured picture in WordPress
1200 x 628 pixels — This image is just like above. And is sized for if content is shared to networks such as Facebook and LinkedIn. We use a plugin named Social Warfare for our share buttonsthat makes it possible for us to upload other image sizes for social networks.
1080 x 1080 pixels — Here is the picture we use for sharing on Instagram.
What’s About purchasing these different measurements great is that I have an entire collection of consistent images that I can use for popular social networks and the site.
Extra Pinterest pictures
While pictures are For branding great, that they don’t always perform too on Pinterest.
So, I submit a petition for Images that I’ll share straight to Pinterest. These can have our logo and be the usual 735 x 1102 size, but they will look different.
In my request, I’ll send 3 Names for inspiration for the example and post images.
This provides me the capacity to Experiment with different layouts, and program pins throughout the year for extra exposure. And because the lifespan of a pin is more than another kind of social media content, the results can be great.
Detailed Pinterest images
Pinterest is a traffic Powerhouse I’ve been working on boosting my Pinterest game.
Infographics typically do They may be expensive which makes catchy.
Here’s what I do
I produce snappy and a short Headline dependent on the article title. I look over the article to find some information that could be used in a standalone picture.
Depending on how big the Post, this could be a listing of every one of the suggestions in a single post or it could be the sub-headings within a section of the site article.
The Wonderful thing about these Kinds of pictures is they can encourage sharing much more, and also add value for your reader. Ninja Pickle
Each of these short’s Counts as a single petition. So I’m submitting 3+ requests, depending on how many in-content images we desire.
And any — I won’t be needed by a few Like vision to be purposeful as possible.
It’s also worth noting that We will sometimes use blog images to promote the post.
As Our Instagram strategy is built out by me, I will be making changes. I will probably expand my design asks for every post from blog articles, to include tips and quotes.
A couple of other ways I use Design Pickle
I use Design Pickle For design work on new articles, but there are a couple other ways I leverage their services.
For example, I had a symbol for 1 project that wasn’t enough resolution that is high — they converted it and delivered a higher resolution picture.
Then there’s the editing of Old pictures on the blog — especially infographics.
Outside of editing Pictures, they produce a few stellar graphics that I use when updating older content too.
In my post on SEO Tactics, I talk about the significance of moving over old articles and upgrading them.
This can help you get a nice Bulge of traffic especially from search engines.
Most of the time people Upgrade the content but what can help push things much further is imagery. Particularly imagery that other people are going to want to reference in their articles (that means visitors + more traffic for you).
I did a whole Rewrite of my post about how best to choose a niche for your own blog. I wrote it and it was in drastic need of an update.
To accompany the rewrite, I Had Design Pickle create a pair of pictures as well as some in-content images too.
This comprised a custom picture To back up among those points in my article:
In the End of this post I included a list of market ideas. So instead of displaying this as text, then the information was displayed by us as an image instead.
It’s a large image so I will not Include it here, but it’s in the bottom of this article, in the event that you’d like to take a look.
These Two custom article Graphics are linkable assets. This means they can be leveraged for link building functions! And used in social media campaigns.
It does require a subscription to, to get images like these Getty Images. This is managed by Design Pickle which means you pay an extra $25/month. Well worth it, in my own opinion.
IS THE DESIGN PICKLE PRICE WORTH THE COST?
Should you Are like me, you truly wish to understand what the line is. Will you be paying more or less using Design Pickle? Can it make sense to just hire a graphic designer to get tasks or use their services? Ninja Pickle
You will have to think through The calculation to your company since you might have more or less complex tasks that you will request.
Here is my thought process:
To get a professional site Header picture done, it would cost me anywhere from $10 to $100. Just crazy people would spend over $50 though.
I believe $10 to $30 is a safe For how much a graphic designer would charge for first blog header picture guess. If you should hire a freelance graphic designer to get a logo, you can get something from the $30 to $50 range, and that’s considered really affordable.
A US based graphic design firm Would cost more or $800. Sorry for throwing you under the bus US people…
I figure I will get at least 2 Daily Tasks done. So, 2 jobs x 20 (and this could be on the low end) is $40 per day, or $1200 per month.
So, yes…my calculations show that If you use Design Pickle enough, it is certainly worth the price.
A COUPLE MORE BENEFITS OF DESIGN PICKLE
However, another advantage that is huge is The ease of use. My programmer has gotten used to my style and therefore it is SUPER fast to order jobs.
That Would be it. When I went to Upwork, I’d need to describe the job in detail, wade through applicants, hope they know my new, etc.. It would be a time consuming than using Design Pickle.
I think it’s also worth Mentioning that design pickle has access to inventory images or stock images that they can use. This means is that you don’t need to pay for or offer any stock pictures on your own.
By Way of Example, let’s say I needed a Image with text layover of a happy couple sitting on a bench. I would tell them to go find a stock image of a couple sitting on a seat and to bring these words.
I really don’t pay for the stock photograph, Design Pickle already has it.
DESIGN PICKLE EXAMPLES
I’ve been using as mentioned Design Pickle currently for about a year. During this time, I have had them produce images. I’d like to provide a few examples below.
I’ve used Design Pickle to make a couple logos for me. For instance, below is the symbol for the AMZ Picture plugin, thanks to Design Pickle.
Item Design and Graphics
I’ve used Design Pickle a number Of occasions to take my raw Amazon product images and make them look fine. This might be added graphics and descriptions to the images to callout features. Or it may be to improve the photos in some manner.
You can utilize Design Pickle to Do more, software boxes and much ebook covers.
We utilize design pickle the time To design nice looking Facebook advertisements for us. Ninja Pickle
Printables with Graphics
Yes, this Is for my Mother blog. The possibilities are endless with printables. If you can dream it up, Design Pickle can help design it.

PowerPoint or Google Slide Presentations
I’ve used their service Create my presentations look professional on many of occasions.
Sales PDFs, Videos, and more
I have used a ton of graphics within my Sales PDFs and videos. If you wished to write an ebook and sell it online, you really can increase the perceived value of that PDF book by having Design Pickle go through and make it seem good for you.
I have done this a few times now.
I had Design Pickle perform a Few merchandise designs for me. Yep. I’ll have the concept of the product and they will whip up a visual prototype for me that I can send to a producer.
The best way to get the maximum from Design Pickle
The layouts which are Delivered are just as good as the brief you submit.
And to save As you can, you should produce.
Here are some things to Include in your brief:
A comprehensive description of what you will need
Links to illustrations for inspiration
Your target audience
Colour’s to utilize, or not to use
Picture sizes (you may request a number of dimensions if you prefer )
Any other notes you think can help your designer
The more information you Include on your short, the less likely you will need revisions. And that’s a good thing because your designer can be working on new designs instead of fine-tuning present layouts.
I recommend submitting requests in batches. This means submitting them back and is gathering your requests.
Batching, Generally Speaking, is a Good way to improve productivity.
And even though I Didn’t, sure, graphics would work out a little more expensive. However, the reality is that they’ll still be a better price and better quality than if I were to get them from everywhere.
Who’s Design Pickle for?
If Your blog is at a point where it is making money, and you are looking at ways to scale — Design Pickle is a great way to offload easy layout tasks.
This means you can claw back A number of your time on growing your business, and spend it.
You need to be Able to justify the price tag, like with any purchase. However, you have to have the ability to submit layout requests for this to be rewarding.
And I am getting requests Because my layout queue fills up completed for under $10 each is — there’s always something for my designer. And when my design queue was only half complete, it’d still be worthwhile. Ninja Pickle
I bootstrapped the launching of My blog and did all the design work until it had been making more than sufficient money to cover costs similar to this. It’s purely a case of waiting till the time was appropriate to get a service such as this.
It’s also worth noting that if you can not convey what You need in an email, Design Pickle probably isn’t for you.
They don’t offer Logo’s and branding and for good reason — these are specialized services that are more expensive. They can do infographics because they’re more time-intensive to make, but provide them an extra day and you will need to supply data/stats.
I offset Design Pickle Services with several services. By way of instance, I hire a designer Fiverr for my trademarks called Obus — he’s outstanding.
And for I, infographics Because I will acquire content repurposed into a few formats at precisely the same 18, Occasionally use PeoplePerHour.
