- An advertisement designed

- T-shirt designs
Well, all Of more and these things are occupations that Design Pickle has done for me over the past couple of months. Therefore, you could place and out a project for a graphic designer every time you’ve got a graphic design job that is tiny to do.
Or you could get it all done in One place. Oh, and it is”infinite” (more on this later) designs for a flat monthly fee.
Inside This Design Pickle Review, I Plan to share what I enjoy, what I do not like, and what I have learned over the past year as I’ve employed Design Pickle for my graphic design needs.
What’s DESIGN PICKLE?
In Case You Haven’t discovered, Design Pickle is an all-in-one graphic design service for a flat monthly fee. It is possible to get graphic designs.
Alright, But what does”unlimited” really mean? About the design pickle website it states,”boundless requests”,”unlimited revisions”,”unlimited brands”. All those things are accurate. But, I want you to go in with a transparent understanding of what that actually means.
You may submit infinite Requests and have brands, but it does not mean that you will GET unlimited real designs every month, done. When I submit 1 million job requests in a month, I should not expect to receive 1 million special design jobs accomplished in a month for only $370. That is crazy talk.
The way it works is that you have Essentially one designer assigned to your accounts. The exact same graphic designer also functions on a couple of other accounts (you are not the only customer they work with).
A Number of your jobs will Get finished faster or slower depending on how busy they are. However, what I have found is I can usually expect 2 or 3 graphic design jobs to be finished a day.
This Depends upon the complexity. Simple jobs will get more done, more complex jobs will require longer. Picker Picker
My experience with Design Pickle
I’ve been a client for over 3 decades and filed 1800+ design requests.
When I first subscribed, we Had a rocky start but that was my fault.
I soon learned the Layouts I got back were only as good as the design short they needed to work with.
I knuckled down and wrote Out a template brief that contained as much info as possible.
This made it crazy for Me to fill in but still gave my designer enough info to use.
And Through the Years, I’ve had Exactly the same dedicated designer, John (he’s awesome). We’ve worked together for so long that he knows precisely what type of images I’m searching for.
You have to scroll Through our website archives to see plenty of illustrations.
And based Seen for different customers, Design Pickle is capable of a whole lot more!
7 items I seriously adore about Design Pickle
Committed designer — Working with one designer (unless they are on vacation ) means they know which type of pictures I like. Great for consistency. My devoted designer, John, is outstanding.
No contracts — I can cancel my plan anyhow. But I get so much value out of the service which I don’t think I’ll ever offset.
The service is rock solid — Design Pickle have been going for a little while now. I have been a customer for over 3 years. The procedures and support team they have set up is incredible. I have signed up for solutions from different suppliers that offer similar”unlimited” style offerings and one in particular just wasted my cash because they did not have the kinks worked out in their services. This isn’t the case with Design Pickle — they know what they’re doing and they deliver.
Huge number of layout resources — Working for numerous customers means access to design assets. This saves time for everybody and the upside to your client is more high-tech vision.
Option of which document types you receive delivered — You have to pick which file types are delivered. If you’d like editable files such as PSD’s, AI files, etc — you can pick that you want. You’ll also receive the”ready to use” type files like PNG, JPG etc.. And you can specify which file types when submitting your request.
Unlimited projects — that I run a lot of different sites, which list is simply likely to increase. But that’s not going to be an issue
My branding resources are kept on file to save everyone time Whenever I launch a new site, I ship the branding resources (logo documents, etc) to support and they receive them saved. So I just have to specify the job in the topic line of my email and they do the rest. How I utilize Design Pickle right now
Since I am asked about my Images so much, I wanted to share a bit more on how I use Design Pickle at the moment.
When a new blog post is Completed I’ll decide whether we are in need of an in-content image to backup some of the content. If it does, I will write up a brief and submit an application to Design Pickle through email.
I’ll talk about the Briefs in a moment, but it will include a detailed description of what I want, required hyperlinks and picture dimensions for inspiration to picture examples. Picker Picker
Then I have three templates For three distinct layout briefs:
Each set of pictures that were featured Are focused on a single design concept, with”flat” styled images. They are cartoony, but not 3D.
I ask for the picture to be Delivered in many unique sizes:
700 x 300 pixels — This features a flat/cartoon-like picture overlayed on a background. The image dimensions are exactly what I use for the featured image in WordPress
1200 x 628 pixels — This image is the same as above. And is sized especially for when content is shared to networks like LinkedIn and Facebook. We use a plugin named Social Warfare to our share buttonsthat allows us to upload additional picture sizes for social networks.
1080 x 1080 pixels — Here is the image we use for sharing on Instagram.
What’s Great about purchasing these dimensions is I have an entire set of images that are constant that I can use for your own blog and popular social networks.
Extra Pinterest images
While consistent pictures are Perfect for branding, that they don’t always perform as well on Pinterest.
I submit a request for Images that I will share to Pinterest. These be the normal 735 x 1102 dimensions and will have our logo , but they’ll look different.
In my petition, I will send 3 Titles for the example and post graphics.
This gives me the capacity to Experiment with different layouts, and program pins throughout the entire year for extra exposure. And because the lifespan of a pin is longer than another type of media that is social content, the results could be great.
Thorough Pinterest images
Pinterest is a traffic Powerhouse, therefore I’ve been working on upping my Pinterest game.
Infographics typically do Well but they may be expensive which makes catchy.
Here’s what I do
I create a short and snappy Headline based on the article title. I then look over the post to discover some information that could be used in a graphic that is standalone.
Depending on how big the Post, this may just be a listing of each of the tips in a single post or it might be that the sub-headings within a section of this blog post.
The great thing about these Types of pictures is that they can promote sharing much more, and also add instant value for your reader. Picker Picker
Each of these short’s Counts as one petition. So for each post I am submitting 3+ asks, depending on how many in-content pictures we desire.
And any — I won’t be needed by some Like imagery to be purposeful as possible.
It’s also worth noting that We will sometimes use blog pictures to promote the post.
As I build out our Instagram strategy, I’ll be making changes to this framework. I’ll probably expand my design requests for each post from blog articles to add suggestions and quotes.
A couple of other ways I use Design Pickle
I mainly use Design Pickle For design work on new posts, but there are a few different methods I leverage their services.
As an Example, I had a symbol for 1 job that wasn’t large enough resolution — it was converted by them to a vector picture and delivered a higher resolution image.
Then there’s the editing of Images on the site — especially infographics.
Exterior of editing existing Pictures, they create some stellar graphics that I use when upgrading content too.
In my article on SEO Tactics, I talk about the significance of upgrading them and moving over old posts.
This can help you get a pleasant Bulge of traffic — especially from search engines.
The Majority of the time folks Upgrade the material but what can help push things further is fresh imagery. Notably vision which other individuals are going to want to reference in their articles (that means backlinks + more visitors for you).
I did a whole On how to choose a market for your blog rewrite. I wrote it and it was in need of an upgrade.
To accompany the rewrite ‘d Design Pickle create some in-content images as well as a pair of images that are featured also.
This comprised a custom graphic To back up one of the points in my article:
In the End of the post I included a list of market ideas. So rather than displaying this as text, then we exhibited the data as an image instead.
It’s a big image so I will not Include it here, but if you want to have a look, it is at the bottom of this post.
These custom post Both Images are linkable assets. This means they can be leveraged for connection construction functions! And used in media campaigns.
It does require a subscription to to get pictures like these Getty Images. This is handled by Design Pickle directly, so you pay an additional $25/month. Well worth it, in my opinion.
IS THE DESIGN PICKLE PRICE WORTH THE COST?
Should you Are like me, you truly want to know what the line is. Are you going to be paying less or more using Design Pickle? Can it make sense to hire a graphic designer to get tasks or use their services? Picker Picker
You will have to think through The calculation for your company since you may have less or more complex jobs that you will request.
Here’s my thought process:
To get a professional site It would cost me anywhere from $10 to $100. Just people would spend over $50 though.
I think $10 to $30 is a secure Guess for how much a typical designer would charge for blog header image that is original. If you should hire a freelancer graphic designer for a symbol, you can get something in the $30 to $50 range, and that’s considered really affordable.
A US based graphic design firm Would charge more or $800. Sorry for throwing you under the bus US folks…
I figure I can get at least 2 A day Tasks done. So, 2 occupations x $20 (and this may be on the low end) is $40 a day, or $1200 a month.
So, yes…my calculations show that In the event you use Design Pickle enough, it’s certainly worth the cost.
A COUPLE MORE BENEFITS OF DESIGN PICKLE
However, another advantage is The ease of use. My designer has gotten used to my personality and therefore it fast to order jobs.
That Are it. If I went to Upwork, I’d need to explain the task in detail, wade through applicants, hope they know my brand, etc.. It would be a more time consuming than just using Design Pickle.
I think it’s also worth Mentioning that design pickle has access to inventory graphics or stock images that they can use. This means is that you don’t need to pay for or offer any stock pictures all on your own.
By Way of Example, let’s say I needed a Professional image with text layover of a happy couple. I would tell them to go find a stock image of a happy couple sitting on a seat and to add these certain words.
I don’t pay for the stock photo, Design Pickle already has it.
DESIGN PICKLE EXAMPLES
As mentioned, I have been using Design Pickle currently for approximately a year. Throughout that time, I’ve had them produce images. I’d like to provide a few examples below.
I’ve used Design Pickle to make a few logos for me. By way of example, below is the logo for the new AMZ Image plugin, thanks to Design Pickle.
Product Design and Graphics
I have used Design Pickle a number Of occasions to take my Amazon product images and make them look fine. This may be added images and descriptions to callout features. Or it might be to improve the photos in some manner.
You can use Design Pickle to Do more, software boxes and ebook covers.
We utilize design pickle the time To look nice looking Facebook advertisements for us. Picker Picker
Printables with Graphics
Yes, this Is for my Mom blog. The possibilities are endless with printables. If you can dream it up, then Design Pickle will help design it.
Blog Header Pictures
The services are used by me at Design Pickle all the time for blog header pictures. This is a good way to spruce up a post to make it look professional, which subsequently helps readers stay around more. PowerPoint or Google Slide Presentations
I’ve used their service Make my presentations look professional.
Revenue Videos, PDFs, and more
I’ve used a ton of images in my Revenue PDFs and videos. If you wished to write an ebook and sell it on line, you really can boost the value of the PDF publication by having Design Pickle go through and make it look great for you.
I’ve done this several times now.
I had Design Pickle do a Product layouts for me. Product layouts that are physical, yep. I’ll have the concept of the product and they’ll whip up a prototype for me personally that I can send to a manufacturer to help explain what I’m seeking to do.
How to get the most from Design Pickle
The designs which are Delivered are only as good as the short you submit.
And to save you As possible, you need to produce.
Here are some good things to Include in your brief:
A detailed description of everything you will need
Links to illustrations for inspiration
Your target audience
Color’s to use, or to not utilize
Image sizes (you can ask for a number of dimensions if you like)
Any other notes you believe can help your designer
The more information you Include on your short, the not as likely you’ll need revisions. And that’s a good thing because your designer can be working on layouts instead of designs.
I advocate submitting requests in batches. All this means submitting them back and is collecting up your orders.
Batching, Generally Speaking, is a Good way to improve productivity.
And even if I Didn’t, sure, images would work out a bit more expensive. However, the reality is they’ll still be a better price and better quality than if I were to get them from elsewhere.
Who’s Design Pickle for?
If Your blog reaches a place where it’s making money, and you’re taking a look at ways to scale — Design Pickle is a superb way to offload layout tasks.
This means you can claw back A number of your time on developing your organization, and spend it.
You need to be Able to justify the price tag, like with any purchase. However, in addition, you need to be able to submit enough design asks for this to be worthwhile.
And I am getting requests Since my design queue fills , completed for under $10 each is — there is always something for my designer to use. And when my layout queue was just half complete, it’d still be worthwhile. Picker Picker
I bootstrapped the launching of Until it made more than sufficient cash to cover costs similar to this My website and did all the design work. It is only a case of waiting until the time was right for a service such as this.
It’s also worth noting that in case you can’t convey what You need in an email, Design Pickle probably isn’t for you.
By Way of Example, they don’t offer Logobranding and’s and for good reason — these are specialized services which are more costly. They’re able to do infographics but provide them and you will want to provide data/stats since they’re more time-intensive to create.
I offset Design Pickle Services with a lot of services. For instance, I employ a designer Fiverr for my trademarks known as Obus.
And for I, infographics Use PeoplePerHour since I will get content repurposed to a few formats.
IS DESIGN PICKLE RIGHT FOR YOU?
The possibilities really are much I could pay in this 1 blog article. For any job that you might do that may require layout, you can use Design Pickle for that.
You have to decide if Design Pickle is ideal for your company. Can you afford to invest $370 a month? Will using graphics in your enterprise help increase new value or your income by more than the total cost of this service.
In my case, the Solution is definitely yes. Picker Picker
